Sylia Gallegos, Partner
Sylia Gallegos joins FlowTrust from Bloxcross, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer at the digital assets innovation company. At Bloxcross, she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s groundbreaking platform that revolutionizes global bilateral trade, cross-border payments, and other financial applications using blockchain technology.
Prior to Bloxcross, Sylia led Crimson Advantage, a multi-million-dollar digital marketing agency, where she spearheaded paid advertising, analytics, and growth strategies for brands of all sizes.
She was at Google for nearly 5 years where she served as a global head for Google’s AI-powered virtual assistant. She developed and executed a global growth strategy, expanding Google Assistant’s footprint and increasing global active users 4x YOY. Her focus area was on machine intelligence as she led the Global Speech and Global Personality teams. Also at Google, she led nationwide strategy for Google Fiber, driving $847M in customer lifetime value. She also advised on the purchase of a new business, developed and implemented the post-integration operating structure for the new entity.
Prior to Google, she practiced commercial litigation in Texas at a boutique firm specializing in contracts and mass tort litigation. She then proceeded to co-found a litigation consulting firm, harnessing her expertise in litigation strategy. She advised on the creation of a first of its kind legal discovery tool, which recently raised $150M in funding.
Sylia attended Southern Methodist University and earned a BS in Engineering Management, Information, and Systems. She graduated South Texas College of Law, cum laude.
Diego Baez, Partner
Prior to FlowTrust, Diego Baez founded Bloxcross (“BLOX”), a digital assets innovation company that has constructed a groundbreaking platform that revolutionizes global bilateral trade, cross border payments, and other financial use cases for digital assets and blockchain technologies.
Prior to founding Bloxcross, Baez served as the Global Head of Financial Services for Hortonworks-Cloudera responsible for the worldwide product development and financial performance for that business. As a technology innovator, he began his career at IBM Speech Recognition Labs and AT&T Labs/Unix Systems Labs. From there, Baez focused on Financial Technology innovation at Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Citigroup, Lehman Brothers and Knight Capital.
During his 18 years in the Financial Services industry, Mr. Baez held executive positions at Citigroup, JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers, Knight Securities and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Baez started at Lehman Brothers, designing and Building a global market data system to power all trading applications at the bank. After Lehman, he joined Goldman Sachs as a Global Chief Architect for Equities technology and started the Electronic Trading group in response to changing market conditions, as well as implemented the first Automated trading Engine at Goldman. After Goldman, Mr. Baez joined Knight Trading Group as head of Electronic Trading which became the largest electronic market maker globally. Following Knight, Mr. Baez created the Electronic Trading Group at JPMorgan Chase, and worked on implementing the Institutional Algorithms practice at Citigroup.
After Citigroup, Mr. Baez joined Marco Polo Network as global COO and implemented electronic trading access to over 90 emerging market exchanges via a single interface and provided the only electronic access to many of these markets.
In addition to his work at BLOX, Mr. Baez also serves as the CTO of Analytic Lab Works, applying AI/Machine Learning and Big Data dissemination techniques in an effort to simplify real world problems and to create usable financial tools for Bloxcross clients across the globe.
